Going back through memories of holidays some 65 or so years ago, my Grandmother used to make a nut roll called potica. The most wonderful of all holiday recollections. For a few years, perhaps a decade or so ago, one of my sisters had the recipe and made a pretty good version. But over time her poticas became store bought renditions, with the last this past Christmas falling far short. So began a search which wandered the digital landscape until landing me at Butter Maid. The pecan roll in its own right is a wonderful delight, the fact it comes close to fulfilling those memories of six decades ago is a absolute bonus.

Everyone loved it. It was flavorful and moist.
