What COVID-19 safety measures are taken?
We are taking every sanitation, hygiene and safety precaution. We follow the recommendations of the CDC, our County Health Department, the State of Ohio, and any other group that has sound advice. All day - every day - we thoroughly clean and sanitize our entire kitchen. Tables, utensils, scales, mixers, sinks, etc, before and after every single flavor change. This is - and has always been - the protocol here, it's part of our Standard Operating Procedures. We've increased the frequency and dedicated more time to sanitizing, focused on the most common touch points such as doors and handles, counters, tables, cash register, offices, shipping room, storage areas, etc. We are thankful for the hard work and dedication of our team members each and every day.
Why is my Kolachi flat & smashed / filling spilled out / light or dark color?
A great thing about these Eastern European sweet rolls is that every culture made their own unique version – different sizes, shapes, fillings, doughs, etc. They’re made the old-fashioned way by hand and no two are alike. Ours are generally very flat, fruit flavors more so than nuts. Vacuum sealing can flatten them further, but is our friend in the end keeping them fresh. Filling may spill out the side, top, or bottom. They may be lighter or darker in color than one expects. Fortunately, none of these affect the quality or taste in any way.
How do I serve & store Kolachi?
For optimum freshness, freeze until use - nature's all natural preservative method. Thaw at room temperature overnight, or several hours before serving. Make ½” – 1” slices (about 14 – 28 per roll). Serve at room temp or heated as desired. Kolachi are excellent for breakfast with coffee, tea, or milk, and make a nice treat after dinner. Try them heated and buttered, or pan fried with butter! Rewrap well and refreeze / refrigerate. Freeze up to 6 months.

What is Kosher? Are your products Kosher?
When products are established as certified Kosher, they comply with a strict policy of Kosher food laws, including cleanliness, purity, quality and biblical laws. We put immeasurable care into everything we do, and are truly committed to baking and delivering the highest quality products. We only use the highest quality Kosher ingredients. In addition to government inspections, our bakery is regularly audited by a 3rd party Food Safety Certification company, which strictly examines all aspects of the process by which food is prepared, ingredients used, facility cleanliness and maintenance. Our quality, cleanliness and safety standards are second to none and reflected in our last score of an "A+". We have not yet been inspected to become Kosher Certified - it's planned for the near future - therefore our products cannot be considered Kosher, which is reflected with a certified symbol on product packaging.
Gluten Free? Sugar Free?
Gluten Free: The only item that may be considered Gluten Free - based on the ingredient list - are Buckeyes. However, we are not a gluten free bakery and therefore cross contamination is possible. Sugar Free: We do not make sugar free, but we do have a reduced sugar kolachi. This is the only reduced sugar product we make at this time.

Can I travel with baked goods for our vacation?
Sure can, but why hassle? We'll ship them directly to your vacation home, hotel, anywhere in the USA. Place your order up to 1 week in advance and contact us above at the same time to let us know roughly what date you want the order to arrive. Easy peasy! If you do travel with them, just don't leave them in a hot car.
To be extra safe just check if your vacation address receives USPS mail. 99% do, but if not you'll need to select UPS at checkout. Make sure to enter the complete address with unit number. If you don't have a room # yet, that's okay - address it as below naming yourself as a guest.

Be sure to track your package and/or check all possible delivery locations such as hotel or development main desk/office, front/side doors, etc, as you're responsible for successfully receiving it, since retrieving it is beyond our control - see additional shipping details.
I need my order on a certain date. When should I order?
Outside of busy holiday seasons, we can have an order arrive on an available date of your choice if you select a UPS or FedEx (guaranteed) shipping service at checkout and contact us above to hold the order, or order by phone. Free Shipping/USPS is an estimated date, not guaranteed. We highly recommend ordering early for arrival a minimum of 1 day early, because rare delays in transit are beyond our control and we cannot be responsible. All products are guaranteed to arrive fresh and can be frozen for up to 6 months. If your guaranteed delivery does not arrive on the promised date, you will be refunded for the UPS/FedEx charges paid as long as they have not suspended their delivery commitment guarantee, which they usually do during holiday
