Growing up in Ohio my Mom bought rolls from her co-workers at Packard who made them. My Grandma also made wonderful Walnut and Poppy Seed Kolachi. After moving to Colorado in the 70's zi started making my own with my Grandma's recipe. I also taught my daughters. About 10 years ago while looking at the Sunday newspaper I discovered an add for Buttermaid Bakery. They taste like my Grandma's recipe. I have ordered from them ever since that day.
I took a roll to work last week for out Salon and my co-worker whose parents are ftom Poland asked for Buttermaid 's info. Mom is getting older and not baking as much and the Buttermaid Bakery tastes like her Mom's. She's going to suprise her Mom.

We've ordered this before since my mom is diabetic, because any reducing of sugar is good and she didn't even realize it was low sugar until I told her!! I passed some of it around and NO ONE could tell it was low sugar. BMB does a great job - we wish they had MORE flavors!! As this country gets fatter and more unhealthy each year, maybe there will BE more flavors because all you doubters are wrong: NO FLAVOR is lost. The reduced sugar nut rolls are DELICIOUS. Order a few, take the taste test and you'll see I'm right! Thank you, BMB, for having this option.
