Too Sweet; Dense "Crust"

To be fair, I never tasted Kolachi before my sister shipped me these in this and another flavor. Both were VERY sweet (and I'm a buttercream gal!); the filling is almost too much, the "crust" was dense like the texture of a Pop-tart, not flaky or like pie crust. I cut one inch pieces and toasted them briefly in the toaster oven to make them more palatable. They're not my cup of tea.
